About Classes

BEGINNERS COURSE

Designed to take the mystery out of how to move the body with understanding and without pain. Refund policy - 50% during 1st or 2nd week, no refund after 2nd week of the course. Classes meet once a week for five weeks and are 1 1/2 hours long. No admissions after the second session. Preregistering is requested, but not necessary.

MULTI-LEVEL I CLASSES

Classes that reaffirm the basic poses, and are a gradual transition to Level II. Ideal for those who have practiced before, but not recently.

MULTI-LEVEL II CLASSES

Classes for students familiar with Iyengar Yoga principles of correct body alignment and movement. Exploring poses to a deeper level, including inversions and backbends.

MULTI-LEVEL III CLASSES

Our most advanced classes for those with previous Iyengar training who are strong in standing poses and inversions. Designed for those who wish to challenge their postures and have a sense of humor. If you are unsure, check with Bobbi.

CHILDREN'S CLASSES

Children ages 5-12 are invited to learn and play the YogaKids way. The style and pace of the class addresses the natural interests, needs and rhythms of children. Activities include yoga poses, games, stories and relaxation techniques. Classes are run in 12 week series.

GENTLE/SPECIAL CLASSES

A one hour class of slower, gentle yoga for seniors and those with physical challenges. Attending twice a week is recommended.

WHAT TO WEAR

You may change clothes at the studio. Comfortable clothes that stretch with your body are recommended, avoid baggy pants and oversized tee shirts. Simple shirts, shorts and barefooted tights work well. Please no strong body oils and colognes. We appreciate odorless bodies and clean feet. Bring a slightly empty belly, and an open mind always helps.

PLEASE BE PROMPT

It is appreciated if you are on time for class. Teachers begin each class with a warmup - both physical and informational, which prepares you for what follows.
