Four Month Yoga Immersion

This course is designed for the serious student, teacher or one considering teaching Yoga.

Starting August 4, 2012; Ending August 11, 2012

The course will include:

• An intensive weekend each month. Each weekend will have a specific focus:
  • Jan. 28 Standing Poses
  • Feb. 25 Inversions and an Introduction to Meditation with Mike Scozzari
  • April 1 Forward Bends &Twists
  • May 13 Back Bends
• Two required classes per week with Bobbi, a third class is optional
• Class planning
• Exploring specific poses in depth
• Prop use
• A personal Pranayama practice
• Chakra study
• Required readings
• If interested, practice teaching and hands on adjustments
• introduction to meditation by a qualified instructor

Fee: $1100.00...50% ($550.00) with registration, balance due before July 20, 2012. Class cards will be extended 4 months.

Instructor

BOBBI GOLDIN Certified by Mr. B.K.S. Iyengar in 1983, and has been influenced by many senior teachers in and out of the U.S. For the past 32 years, Bobbi has been directing The Yoga Institute of Miami, where she teaches classes and private sessions. She has offered this Teacher Training Course since 1985 which has drawn over 620 yoga practitioners. Bobbi conducts the Sanibel Island Vacation Retreat which has been held 36 times since 1983. As a professional, Bobbi is known for her ability to individualize in her classes so everyone's needs are met and each feels personally touched. Her background in yoga includes working with MS patients, students with head injuries, Aids patients, pregnant women and women in prison. Bobbi is committed to the promotion of the highest quality of yoga practice and education possible. She feels it is vital to remember that "we do Yoga to quiet the mind and soothe the heart. When we are physically and mentally strong, elastic and stable, the quality of life is high and THEN each day is a gift."

Housing

The Quality Inn on US 1 and SW 140 St is the closest to the studio. Hotels in the general area of the studio and near the Dadeland Mall are Ramada Inn, Marriott, Hampton Inn. Our students sometimes provide inexpensive housing. Many restaurants are within walking distance. A major mall is also nearby.

Fees

The fee for the course is $1100.00. A $550.00 deposit is expected with enrollment. The balance of $550.00 is payable any time prior to July 20. Should cancellation be necessary prior to July 20, your deposit less a 10% processing fee will be refunded. No refunds once the course has begun.
